Confused The 10K was my first ever race. I ran it in 71 minutes. Is this good or not? I've got a place in the great north run in september hope I'm better by then!

Peronally i think anyone who get's to the finishing line either first or last is amazing, i find the commitment and drive to see something through to the end more impressive than the time it takes to complete.

But that said i'm sure there's always a competitive feeling when doing such races and people will naturally want to beat the clock Smile

You can see the full race results over at the runforall home page if you'd like to compare to others. I can tell ya that around 135 people came through during that minute Smile

Thinking about that i'm wondering if it might be a good idea to see if it's possible to convert these stats to a chart to find an avarage time, mmm.

- Dave.

Regarding the comment above...if it's possible it would be great to know the average time for the 10k/ other stats from the run.

Thanks,
Prue

It was my very first race and I finished in 1:22:21. I've just realised that I might not have been fast, but I've managed to achieve a palindrome!

I'm looking forward to trying again next year, when I'll be aiming for 00:55:00 (in my dreams).

Embarassed I did it in 1 hour 25 mins, and I felt fantastic. Only started running last Oct, age 40. It was my first run and I loved it. I'm running the Great Yorkshire Run in Sept and the Race For Life and I'll be back next year in Leeds.
